Hi guys!
Thanks for stopping by my site. Here's a quick background about me and the many hats I have worn in my lifetime so far.
Back in 2009 I started a hip hop site that was devoted to giving a voice to independent artists known as iHEARTDILLA. iHD had contributing writers within the U.S., U.K., and Japan. The writers were as diverse as the countries they resided in, giving iHD a level of range seldom seen on other hip hop blogs.
I also produced, sponsored and curated various hip hop related events in NYC and other areas across the east coast. And in between all of that I also began working at Beatminerz Radio as a host for the "Independent’s Day Show" with prominent DJs.
Throughout my time with iHD I was able to participate in speaking engagements, and host events.
I went on to receive blog nominations, and push the site further by creating an online shop, and launching an android app. It was a crazy time in my life. I was able to meet so many talented indie artists as well as many of my hip hop heroes. In between all of this I met my best friend turned husband during my whirlwind romance with indie hip hop.
With all of that being said, I am much more than just a girl who loves hip hop music. I wanted my blog to reflect who I am as a whole. Although I started out as a hip hop blogger, I think I always knew that I would eventually outgrow that niche. It just took me a little longer to finally come to terms with letting go of my baby, iHD.
I’m excited to be showing you everything I love – whether it's amazing destinations or just my new dress I found on clearance or an amazing recipe my husband showed me.
I welcome you to take this journey with me as a lifestyle blogger and explore these experiences that I plan to share and hopefully inspire you as well.
